I conserve three-dimensional works made of the following materials:

These can be objects of any genre or time period, including fine and decorative arts, collectibles, family heirlooms, and ethnographic or archeological artifacts.

Services

  • Examination: careful visual assessment of an object's condition. 
  • Treatment:  may include cleaning, polishing, stabilization, mending, filling and inpainting losses, and replicating missing parts.
  • Documentation: written reports and digital images recording condition issues before and after treatment as well as a detailed description of all work done.   
  • Preventive Care: consultation on handling, transportation, storage, display, and maintenance. 
  • Collections Surveys:  examination of a group of objects to determine overall treatment and collections care needs.
  • Education & Outreach: lectures, workshops, and classes in basic conservation and collections care for cultural institutions, community groups, schools, colleges, and universities.
